The Doctor of Dental Medicine will teach you to be a confident, ethical and qualified dentist. You will build skills through practice-based learning, in a four-year dentistry degree developed to meet the changing oral health needs of the community. Postgraduates from any discipline who are interested in becoming a dentist, with a passion for healthcare and improving people’s lives through oral health.

Entry requirements
- Satisfactory performance* in an eligible bachelor’s degree at the time of application, as indicated by Grade Point Average (GPA)
- and Satisfactory performance* in an admissions test – Domestic applicants must submit eligible Graduate Australian Medical School Admissions Test (GAMSAT) results with their application. International applicants must submit eligible GAMSAT, United States Dental Admission Test (DAT), or Canadian Dental Aptitude Test (CDAT) results with their application.
Recognition
Graduates will satisfy the requirements for registration as a dental practitioner in Australia and New Zealand. Graduates may sit for the Dental Examining Board of Canada (DEB) examination to practice in Canada as a dentist.
Study Pathways
Graduates may pursue a higher degree by research in the courses of Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Philosophy.
