Master of Philosophy (MPhil) research is offered in a range of disciplines. Candidates research and write a thesis on an approved topic. All research is done under the supervision of a member of our academic staff. This course is for graduates looking to undertake in depth research on an approved topic within the arts or social sciences, ideal for those aiming to contribute original knowledge to their field or transition to a PhD program.

Entry requirements
- To be eligible for admission to the Master of Philosophy (Arts and Social Sciences) you must have completed the equivalent of one of the following in a subject area related to your proposed research area:
- bachelors degree with first class or second class honours or, masters degree by research or
- masters degree by coursework with an independent research component such as a thesis, dissertation or research project with a minimum overall pass average of 75%
