Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design
The Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design gives you the skills and professional judgement to turn creative ideas into industry-ready design solutions. Explore typography, brand identity, packaging, publication design, digital design and video production while building a portfolio. Guided by industry experts, you’ll learn to take ideas from concept through to professional outcomes, using research, audience insights and creative problem-solving to inform your design decisions. Through applied, studio-based learning, live briefs and a Work-Integrated Learning project with an industry client, you’ll learn to create thoughtful design solutions across a range of projects. Whether you study online or on campus, you’ll graduate prepared to enter the graphic design industry, develop your own creative practice or continue into further specialised study.

Structure
Delivered both on campus and online, this course comprises of 11 core subjects and one elective subject, each subject requiring 10 hours of study per week (made up of classes and self-directed study). Assessments may include activity-based assignments or online quizzes. There are no formal exams.
Entry requirements
- Australian secondary school certificate, or equivalent OR Successful completion of a Vocational qualification (AQF Level 4), or above OR Successful completion of at least 0.25 EFTSL at AQF level 6, 0.5 EFTSL at AQF level 5 or above, or equivalent OR Work life experience demonstrating the ability to undertake study at the required level which may include approval of prior study or successful completion of a readiness assessment.
