Olive Battersby dedicated nearly 30 years of her life (1948-1987) to the School of Education in the University of Melbourne. She started as an Assistant to the Dean, Professor Browne, and then, through her librarianship studies, became the School's librarian. Her family has established the Olive Battersby Scholarship in her memory.
