The Bachelor of Education (Primary), Bachelor of Arts combines the rigorous foundation of a Southern Cross University teaching degree with the challenging thinking and cultural investigation of the arts. The Bachelor of Education in this double degree includes extensive professional placement and qualifies you to teach in primary schools. The Bachelor of Arts in this double degree offers three exciting majors to tailor your studies, in either Creative Writing, Social Sciences or Humanities. Each major includes a research project with an academic supervisor where you can focus deeply on an area that interests you. Please note: All students need to attempt the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education (LANTITE) in their first year of study.

Entry requirements
- Australian Year 12. Applicants for admission to candidature at a Queensland campus of Southern Cross University must have satisfied requirements specified by the Queensland College of Teachers and NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) for admission to an initial teacher education course that is approved for the purposes of enabling graduates to apply for registration as a teacher in Queensland, including satisfactory completion of the UAC or QTAC non-academic entry requirement test, which is a NESA requirement.
