Trillion Trees Shirley Fyfe Honours Scholarship

This scholarship is available to support a student’s study for an honours degree in the Discipline group of Environmental and Conservation Science. It is intended for a person whose project focuses on a contemporary environmental issue associated with the health of Western Australia’s native trees in ecosystems. Some examples, where projects can be based around include remote sensing; role of invertebrate and vertebrate fauna in tree health; biology, ecology and management of pests, diseases and beneficial microorganisms; health of native trees in urban and peri-urban landscapes; and sustainable biodiversity plantings.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must: be Australian citizens; be intending to enrol full-time in an honours level course within the School of Environmental Science; be intending to conduct research into a contemporary environmental issue in the field of environmental use or preservation of Western Australia's native trees; and have a record of high achievement in previous study or professional work.
