Master of Public Policy

The Master of Public Policy provides a multidisciplinary perspective on the global, national, and local levels of a rapidly changing policy environment.; The specialisation in public policy is designed to prepare policy leaders to master the fundamentals of public policy making formulating policy from start to finish, including analysing the problem, interpreting data, undertaking professional research, and proposing policy solutions.

Structure

To qualify for the Master of Public Policy, a student must complete 72 units with a grade of P or NGP or better in each topic.

Entry requirements

  • Applicants must normally hold a bachelor degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution.
  • Students who have completed a Graduate Certificate in Public Policy, a Graduate Certificate in Public Administration, a Graduate Certificate in International Relations, or an approved equivalent, but not an undergraduate degree, must also meet a GPA requirement.
  • However, the Dean (Education) may, under certain circumstances and subject to specific conditions, admit others who can show evidence of fitness for candidature.
