To qualify for the Master of Environmental Management and Sustainability, a student must complete 72 units with a grade of P or NGP or better in each topic.

Entry requirements
- Applicants must normally hold a degree in a relevant field of study, or equivalent qualification, from an approved tertiary institution. Relevant fields of study include environmental sciences, environmental studies, development studies, geography, public health, and social sciences.
- However, the Dean (Education) may, under certain circumstances and subject to specific conditions, admit others who can show evidence of fitness for candidature.
