This degree is designed to provide significant and substantial advanced knowledge of and skills in the field of Mechanical Engineering, obtained through a combination of coursework and research study. This degree will incorporate a broad base of mechanical studies including mechanical design, solids, fluids, control, vibrations, renewable energy and mechanical behaviour of materials.

Structure

To qualify for the Master of Engineering (Mechanical), a student must complete 72 units with a grade of P or NGP or better in each topic.

Entry requirements

  • Applicants must normally must hold at least one of the following:
  • The Flinders University Graduate Diploma in Engineering Science with a major in Mechanical Engineering
  • Completion of year 1 topics in the Flinders University Master of Engineering Science, undertaking the Mechanical Engineering Major
  • A relevant Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering Technology, Bachelor of Engineering Science
  • An equivalent overseas qualification
