Entry requirements
- A recognised diploma (or AQF equivalent) from a Registered Training Organisation with a work place learning component (refer to credit and pathways section for details).
- An ATAR of 55 (including adjustment factors).
- Successful completion of two University level subjects (AQF level Associate Degree or higher) demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.
- A completed AQF Certificate III or higher level qualification undertaken post-secondary schooling.
- 50% completion of an AQF Diploma level qualification.
- Successful completion of a Tertiary Preparation Course from an Australian University or an accredited provider demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.
- Successful completion of the CSU Indigenous Access Program.
- Successful application via the Schools Recommendation Scheme.
- Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) with an equivalent ranking to the currently listed ATAR.

Recognition
The Bachelor of Social Science (Social Welfare) degree is recognised throughout Australia, and by the Commonwealth and NSW Public Services as an approved three-year tertiary qualification for employment purposes.
Study Pathways
TAFE Diploma graduates in Community Welfare are eligible for the TAFE pathway, a 3 year part-time (equivalent to 18 months full-time) course through which they build on their prior study to gain a university degree.
