Bachelor of Arts Screen: Production

AFTRS' Bachelor of Arts Screen: Production is designed for people with a passion for storytelling and a commitment to a career in the screen industries. AFTRS are eager to work with students from a diverse range of backgrounds who are imaginative, collaborative and keen to develop their voice as Australian screen storytellers. Screen stories are changing the world. From YouTube, to Netflix to global cinema releases, they are shaping the way we think, feel and engage. The industry is looking for multi-skilled content creators who are comfortable in all of the key creative roles and are able to produce content across platforms. In response to this, AFTRS' BA Screen is split into six interrelated pillars of screen storytelling: story, image, sound, character & performance, rhythm & juxtaposition and screen business. As a graduate of the AFTRS Bachelor of Arts Screen: Production, students will be ready to enter the creative industries with a wide range of knowledge and skills and an adaptable, forward-looking approach that puts them at the forefront of industry innovation and practice. Examples include: entry level jobs in the screen, media and creative industries including support roles in production and post-production companies and on film productions; screen entrepreneurs; YouTube creators and in-house video content producers.
